Thank You - Feed My Lambs Supporters
Feed My Lambs says Thank You for all your help this summer!
God was in control the whole summer, from the beginning to the end.
He asked us to walk out in faith and He would provide the workers and the funds to support the program.
Thank you to all of you who answered His call and gave of your time, money and talents to feed the children in Sweeny.
We fed over 3,100 meals this summer and always the money and workers were there. Even on the last Wednesday when we had just enough supplies to feed the 141 we had fed on Monday, we received a call to feed 32 more at Canterbury Square Apartments. It reminded me of when Jesus fed the 5,000 with just 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish. The workers responded and got the job done. Because of our faith, God graciously provided a way for us to do this.
It takes all of us to make the program a success.
Without your help, each one of you, we could not do the work he has for us to do.
It was a pleasure working with each one of you this summer.
Thank you for your belief in this ministry and for being there!
In His Service,
Kay Brightwell

Special Prayers for the Family of Dan Richardson
Lord Jesus, We lift to you this day Emma Richardson and Richard and Doris Wright as they mourn the loss of their brother. We Thank You Lord for those whose lives were touched by Dan Richardson. We come to you Lord seeking travel mercies to bring Emma and Richard and Doris safely back to Sweeny. Prayers of comfort for all who hearts are heavy at Dan's passing. We ask you Lord to receive Dan as a sheep of your fold and a lamb of your flock. In the Holy Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ we pray this day. AMEN and amen
Why do we have Stewardship Campaigns?
Have you ever asked yourself why does our Church have a Stewardship Campaign?
Reason 1: The Finance Committee voted to have one. They thought it might be a neat idea to be able to pay for our operating expenses. Jesus said, "For where your treasure is, there your heart is also".
Reason 2: "You may find it interesting that Jesus talked more about stewardship than he did on the subject of heaven or hell. He talked as much about money as he did prayer. It was that important to him. There are thirty-eight parables, stories attributed to Jesus, with sixteen of the thirty eight dealing with stewardship. Basically, handling the resources we’ve been blessed with. That’s how important it was to Jesus."
Please join us as we journey the next three Sundays with our "Fearless Giving - in fearful times" Stewardship Campaign.

Prayers for Denny Holcombe . . . Sweeny Hospital
We turn to scripture for grace in our lives . . . "My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will never be shaken." Psalm 62:1-2
Lord Jesus, we lift to you this day Mr. Denny Holcombe, a sheep of your fold, a lamb under your care. Please bless him with your healing touch. Be with his family as they prayerfully care for him. We lift his Doctors and the nurses from Sweeny Community Hospital under your loveing shelter. Care for them this day. We pray in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
